At WICKED LASERS, we always measure the AVERAGE output power of our products. The AVERAGE output power Is usually lower than the PEAK power. This is very important when purchasing a laser, because many retailers will sell their products rated at the PEAK output power, even if the peak lasts only 1 second! We use a specialized GRAPHING laser power meter, which allows us to calculate the AVERAGE output. This means that when you purchase a 350mW laser, this is the AVERAGE output, and the PEAK output will be around 400-425mW.
